Neill & Brown Global Logistics joins a growing list of World Trade Centre partners including Andrew Jackson, Garthwest Creative, Language is Everything, Henderson Insurance Brokers, HSBC and Mapa.
The new private sector-led World Trade Centre moved last month from Humber Quays to a new waterfront home in prestigious 5,500 sq. ft. office premises on Queen Street, Hull. It also has backing from Hull City Council, The Renewables Network, UK Trade & Investment and Team Humber Marine Alliance.
Peter Brown, managing director of Neill & Brown, said the World Trade Centre was an important part of the effort to secure a healthy future economy for the region.
“It is actively promoting Hull, the Humber and East Yorkshire as a centre for international business,” he said. “Becoming a partner demonstrates our commitment to assisting the business community in their international trade efforts and will also help us to explore new opportunities through utilising the centre’s contacts and expertise.”
Hessle-based and family run, Neill & Brown Global Logistics, was founded in 1907, and provides UK, European and global logistics services, including warehousing, distribution and abnormal load services for most sectors of business and industry, as well as a new pick and pack service.
The company’s main market is Europe, in particular Italy and Belgium, but it also has growing business in the US, in India, and in the Far East through its Hong Kong office and Far Eastern agents.
The company moves around 35 transport vehicles a day, 25 in and out of Europe including Germany, France, Denmark, Spain and Switzerland. Annually, it provides hundreds of thousands of secure, daily, timed collections and deliveries for food ingredients, machine equipment, chemical and packaging companies.
Lindsay West, joint managing director of Garthwest Creative, said: “To secure the long-term success of the World Trade Centre requires involvement from forward thinking private sector businesses and we are very pleased to welcome Neill & Brown on board.”
